And you're right John, think of how much money the site is making :D. This idea really is brilliant and in my opinion i don't think that it is trying to scam the bidders. They weren't forced to bid in the first place.

Re: No longer offering Local Business Refferals

Some good points raised in that post. It’s targeted at solo professionals and is a great solution if you don’t need (or want to pay for) the multi-user capability of Freshbooks. Bottom line: If you are solo and bill by the hour it is definitely worth a look. The first 30 days are free.

Re: 2009: What apps/services will I be using this year?

Ah sweet. As example, each bid is .75 which goes in their pocket and if it increments the item by .01 for every dollar bid value they make $7.50.
So if an item sells $350.00 Swoopo makes $26,500.00 or 35,000 bids at 0.75 each.
I guess what I'm saying is it could be a very addictive and expensive way to bid.

Re: Voting Machines are Hackable - So What?

As an abstract concept, wow goldlove usually refers to a deep.

Re: Pixily FTW?

I saw that (prepme.com) earlier... thanks for the comment!

Re: Pixily FTW?

I'm pretty sure pixily would win anyway but knewton is just a rip off of prepme.com - they are already doing that. An example I found at youcalc.com was the exact same olympic medals chart widget that ichart demoed, but on youcalc it runs on real-time data and allows for more analytics: http://www.youcalc.com/apps...

Re: Meet the TechCrunch 50: I did. Again, only my opinion! Best of luck!

Re: trooQ.com or eBay? As for your rationale for buying on eBay, we understand that completely and we build upon it with the introduction of trusted connections. In time, our sellers too will have the longevity and higher number of sales. With trooQ though, you have an increased chance of buying from someone you either know or is a friend of a friend and you have a better sense that you will get what you think you are getting. It is the whole trust factor that is missing in current marketplaces.

Re: FMC where are you?

whoa...a lil scary that busboys is stalking you.

A question from a neophyte though, is FMC necessary if there is improved cell coverage?
